Summary:
Lead Field Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring the end to end safety, quality and performance of Paradigm Controls projects across the US.
This includes performing installations, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic supervision of small crews.
Lead technicians are also expected to support start up and commissioning of MV / LV Switchgear and VFD's.

Provide top level service to PCTX customers that will ensure repeat business and total customer satisfaction.
Train and mentor entry level, senior and master technicians in interpreting the test data taken from the industrial equipment testing.
Make recommendations as to the corrective actions that need to be taken.
Responsible for taking the lead on some of the larger, more complicated projects that we perform daily.
Secure new business opportunities, as they arise.
Gather information on customer future plan for return business and sales opportunities The lead technician is required to have a two to four-year degree in an electrical related program, as well as four to ten years as a shop / field electrical technician.
The lead must exhibit working knowledge of advanced Electrical Industry manufacturing standards.
Complete all site documentation in in a timely manner; including but not limited to, weekly time sheets, signed service and repair orders, expense reports and field reports.
Provide regular and clear communication regarding work schedule to Field service Coordinator, Field Service Project Manager and Field Service Manager.
Maintain flexible work hours, which will include over time and periodic weekend support Comply with Paradigm Controls standard operating procedures, documentation processes, safety processes and protocols.
Coordinate with Paradigm Controls Project management, customers, vendors, and labor support in a professional and customer-centric manner Able to work in different roles from supporting warranty, to acceptance testing, to overseeing small crews on installation projects and start up / commissioning.
Able to perform start up and commissioning services on MV & LV Switchgear and Components Able to perform testing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on transformers.

Degree / GED College Degree or equivalent Certification/License BS Degree preferred, Technical Certificate or Equivalent field experience.
5- 7 years' experience in field service environment.
Familiarity with LV / MV variable frequency drive.
Important Qualities and Characteristics:
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritize, be a team player, and a problem solver are all necessary for this position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:
Adhere to Paradigm Controls current safety and quality standards Must have a working knowledge of MV & LV Switchgear Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical and system issues.
Perform performance testing on Paradigm Controls provided equipment and components, including but not limited to; insulation testing (megger testing), Ductor, Hi Potential testing, torque tests and mechanical / functional testing.
Perform regular inspections of any issued vehicle or calibrated equipment/tools.
Demonstrate ability to manage tasks, commitments, and deadlines as it pertains to assigned tasks, communications with customers, and internal customers.
Skilled in the art of writing accurate and complete test reports, project summaries and has the ability to explain most of the system anomalies found.
Working knowledge of the following:
ANSI IEEE device function numbers; ampacities of electrical conductors in switchgear applications; electrical air and surface creepage clearance requirements.
Working knowledge of the following test equipment:
Hi Pot, DLRO, TTR, EZ CT, Multi - Meter, Dial Caliper.
Proficient with the use of various hand tools and mechanical adaptability.
Must have accelerated verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in advanced electrical trouble shooting Proficient in AC / DC switchgear and components Proficient in startup and maintenance testing Medium Voltage Switchgear.
Proficient in startup and maintenance testing Low Voltage Switchgear.
Working knowledge of power systems Willing to attend in - house and out-side training.
Proficient in three lines, one lines and control schemes.
