This person will join the Tomball location located at 14079 Farm to Market 2920.

Our Ophthalmic Technician will work alongside our physicians to deliver outstanding patient care.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
History Taking:
Ocular, Medical, Surgical, Social and Family; Chief Complaints; Meds & Allergies Visual Acuity Measurement (near, distance, pinhole) Automated lensometry Performs Preliminary Exam to identify normal findings only Amsler, Stereo, and Color Vision Testing Auto Refraction preferred, but not necessary- willing to train the right candidate Basic manual refractometry Applanation Tonometry Fundus Photography Performs repeatable and concise diagnostic testing Basic knowledge of medical and disease process Provides patient education in accordance with established protocol Ability to discuss procedures such as Lasik and Cataract surgery with patients Basic scribe competency Performs Preliminary Exam with ability to identify and discuss abnormal findings with doctor Manual lensometry-Ability to perform to determine the power sphere, cylinder, axis, bifocal, trifocal and progressive Intermediate Refractometry, accurate and repeatable Performs repeatable and concise diagnostic testing with ability to identify abnormalities
