Helpdesk Analyst

We are in need of a solid Helpdesk Technician for a 6 mos contract to hire position located for a client of ours in Tomball, TX. You MUST have Helpdesk experience and not just desktop support experience! The following is the job description. We are hiring immediately, you could start on Monday!
Primary Responsibilities/
Essential Functions:
Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. Responds to end user requests for assistance; troubleshoots problems, identifies solutions, and implements changes or requests changes of other IT staff as needed.
Performs routine maintenance, facilitates customization and changes to, and ensures system disaster recovery for a variety of IT systems.
Assists with new employee technology setup, including computer setup, security, and delivery and system access.
Resolves issues not readily evident; performs or requests authorized changes and upgrades to existing systems.
Performs preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks; monitors system performance and accuracy.
Performs complex root-cause analysis to identify issues.
Escalates most complex issues to supervisor or appropriate IT staff for resolution.
Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.
Coaches and mentors less experienced help desk staff; documents knowledge and solutions for use across the organization.
Maintains confidentiality of all matters.

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED.
Certifications required according to systems used in the location.
or equivalent education and/or experience.
Preferred:
Four year college or university degree.
Experience:
Required
Two or more years of help desk or IT support work experience.
Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:
Required
Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Basic math and analytical skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
